DIY disasters can cost an average £250

I read a really interesting article recently about home owners tackling DIY – A survey has highlighted that on average it costs £250 to “put” a job right by an expert. It seems home owners are trying to cut costs however in the long run they are more likely to fork out more for their DIY disasters!

The average family spent approx £1,793 per year on home improvements but more than half had to get a tradesperson involved to put their disasters right costing on average £250 to get the job finished.

Top jobs which needed the professional in to start again or finish off are:

I think we can all hold our hands up to something on that list even in my house, I have learnt to use the professionals as it saves time, tears, extra costs and in some cases I’m sure marriages and sanity!  Would love to hear if you have had any DIY disasters that you have done yourself if so drop me a line info@findmeatradesperson.co.uk
