Warning - Reporting in today's Evening Post 23 June 2009

A rogue trader offering window cleaning services is operating in Weston-Super-Mare. Police are warning residents after reports of three incidents since early May. Rogue traders can persuade their victims to have unnecessary work done, charge more the fair amount or carry out poor quality work.

PC Justine O` Reilly said: "We would advise local residents not to use uninvited tradesmen who drop leaflets or call at their door unannounced. Avoid paying up front and don't feel pressured into agreeing to work that you don't really want. "It is worth using locally established accredited companies, or those recommended and trusted by family and friends. And it is important that you get quotes in writing prior to committing work being carried out."

We hear so much of this and unfortunately people still fall victim - If you are looking for a recommended window cleaner get in touch with us.

"The 80s second time round" PDFPrintE-mail

stencling_small_imageI chuckled when I read the following article in the Mail newspaper on how many people had stencilling on a wall in their house. If my memory serves me right I can remember my parents were really into stencilling swirly flowers with ruched blinds - remember them!

Well now stencilling and rag rolling effects on neutral walls have been named the most tasteless home design in the last 20 years! Runner up to horrible fads include mirrored wardrobes which were popular in the 90s and I am sure there are still many homes with these fitted in!
