I recently bought my first home and as a security measure I wanted new locks fitted. I called Dave for a quote and he was able to see me the same day. He was prompt and efficient and explained fully what he was doing each step of the way. He was sure not to leave any mess at the house or on the door, making me a new door plate to cover the holes made for the new locks. I would definitely recommend Dave to anyone looking for a good value service.

I had never used my side door before, it was truly stuck and the keys long gone. Over the years I had approached two other builders who both said they couldn’t make it usable again: it was an odd size and the internal floor had been built up higher than the bottom of the door. So when it became apparent that it was the only means of access for a wheelchair I didn’t hold out much hope of finding someone who could solve the problem until I got onto the ‘Find me a Trades Person’ website and came across Lock Stuck and Barrels. Dave really saved the day. He knocked out the old door, sourced, bought, cut and painted a new door, added a secure lock – and solved the floor problem, all in a matter of days. I felt very comfortable leaving him working while I was out, and came back to no mess and a perfectly easy means of access for a disabled person. I really can’t recommend him highly enough, and would have absolutely hesitation contacting him again with any more door or window problems I might have…or even stuck locks.
